China promotes 'Beautiful China Tour' in New Zealand
China's National Tourism Administration (NTA) held a two-day promotion event over the weekend in Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, to strengthen Kiwi's knowledge of China and its tourist attractions.
The road show of "Beautiful China Tour" has been the largest tourism promotional event held by Chinese tourism authorities. It was aimed at exploring the New Zealand tourist market, so as to further expand tourism and personnel exchanges between the two nations, an NTA statement said on Sunday.
The event featured traditional Chinese singing and dancing, and presenting of China's unique landscape, natural scenery, custom, history and culture to the audience. A "Beautiful China" picture exhibition was also held during the event.
The road show was attended by senior NTA officials, Chinese consul general in Auckland, Auckland municipal officials, and representatives of 11 key local tourism authorities in China, as well as Auckland-based agents, airlines and media.
