Xiamen-Paris direct flight launched

XIAMEN, July 6 (Xinhua) -- China's Xiamen Airlines on Thursday launched a direct flight linking Xiamen, a coastal city in east China, with Paris, France.
The flight, the 12th intercontinental air route of Xiamen Airlines, is operated once a week, on Thursdays, according to the company.
The outbound flight is scheduled to take off from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport at 0:05 a.m. on Thursday, arriving in Paris at around 6:40 a.m. (local time). The return flight leaves Paris at 11:55 a.m. (local time) and arrives in Xiamen at around 6 a.m.
The opening of the direct air route will facilitate economic and trade exchanges and tourism between the two cities, the company said.
