Automaker GAC Aion launches all-electric SUV cars in Hong Kong

GAC Aion, an NEV subsidiary of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC Group) officially launched all-electric SUV cars AION Y Plus, Hyper HT, and all-electric supercar Hyper SSR in China's Hong Kong on Sunday. 

The intelligent electric vehicle AION Y Plus, a leading model in China's all-electric SUVs market,  incorporates technological innovations to meet the aspirations of Hong Kong users for a green and intelligent lifestyle.

It makes a plan to deploy over 300 1000V ultra-fast charging stations in Hong Kong by 2028. Meanwhile, in 2024, the company plans to establish six sales and service centers as well as direct-sale stores in Hong Kong, according to GAC Aion. 

The company aims to strengthen collaborations with Hong Kong-based technology enterprises, and provide the highest-quality intelligent vehicles and services for the people of Hong Kong, said Gu Huinan, general manager of GAC Aion. 

In November 2022, GAC Aion set a record by completing 18.294 billion yuan in equity financing, reaching a valuation of over a hundred billion yuan. With the launch and strong sales of products such as AION Y Plus, Hyper HT, and Hyper SSR, GAC Aion is expected to quicken the pace of going public, according to the insider of the company.
