Exhibition of Victorian era art works held at China's NCPA

BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- More than 100 original works of art from the United Kingdom's Victorian era are being exhibited at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing.

Titled "Echoes from the Age of Steam: Art in the age of Victoria," the exhibition presents audiences with oil paintings, watercolors, sketches and sculptures created by numerous celebrated artists from the era, such as landscape painter William Turner.

The exhibition, co-hosted by the NCPA and National Museums Liverpool, focuses on the development of British art during the period, and enables audiences to witness the vibrant and diverse artistic landscape of the United Kingdom during its heyday.

The exhibition will last until March 25.
