Mideast in Pictures: Chinese lantern show held in Tel Aviv, Israel

JERUSALEM, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese lantern exhibition is being held in Tel Aviv, Israel. Some 21 sets of lanterns under diverse themes are on display, lighting up the coastal city in summer and presenting the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture to local citizens.
It is the first time for these gorgeous lanterns, which are crafted by a team from Zigong City in southwest China's Sichuan Province, to be exhibited in Israel. Zigong is famous for lantern-making, and its lantern shows have wowed hundreds of millions of viewers in more than 80 countries and regions worldwide.
The lantern show kicked off on Aug. 7 and will run till Aug. 17.
