On July 19, CEVA Logistics, a logistics provider based in Europe, launched cross-border trucks (Xi'an-Almaty) in the Xi'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

This marked the official launch of the CEVA international sea-land-air-rail multimodal transport project.

The trucks are loaded with communication equipment, daily merchandise and household appliances.

This launch marks the creation of a streamlined global logistics route through Xi'an Port, which complements the existing benefits of the China-Europe Chang'an freight train. This new route also offers a convenient option for businesses looking to expand their global reach.

In the first year of its operation, the project is expected to generate a trade volume of over 1 billion yuan ($139.49 million) in imports and exports.

This project collects products from various parts of the country and transports them to Xi'an, which serves as a hub for goods heading to Central Asia. Depending on the customers' requirements and the nature of the product, transportation is carried out either by road or rail to destinations in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

CEVA Logistics plans to utilize the logistical advantages of Xi'an Port by establishing a new route from Xi'an to Europe. This route will traverse Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkiye, enabling CEVA Logistics to expand its coverage to additional countries.
