XIAMEN, April 2 (Xinhua) -- The China-Africa Internet Development and Cooperation Forum was held on Tuesday in Xiamen City, east China's Fujian Province, aiming to develop the Sino-Africa digital innovation partnership.

Around 400 delegates from China and 20 African nations along with international organizations, universities, research institutions, media and other entities participated in the event.

Highlighting China and Africa's joint efforts towards a better future in digital cooperation, the ongoing event features four sub-forums focusing on topics such as the digital economy, online media, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

"In terms of the digital economy, China-Africa cooperation has the potential to really transform the continent and be aligned with some of the development agenda," said Sena Yao Voncujovi, an Africa-China policy analyst at Development Reimagined.
