New air route links SW China with Singapore

GUIYANG, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- A direct flight linking Guiyang, capital city of southwest China's Guizhou Province, with Singapore was launched on Friday night, marking the first direct flight from the mountainous province to Singapore.

The round-trip flights between Guiyang and Singapore will operate four times each week, said the Guizhou Civil Aviation Industry Group Co., Ltd. on Friday.

Outbound flights are scheduled to depart from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport at 11:25 p.m. (Beijing time) on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and arrive at Singapore Changi Airport at 4 a.m. the next day.

The return flights will depart from Singapore at 5:10 a.m. (Beijing time) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and arrive in Guiyang at 9:15 a.m.

Another international direct flight will also be launched on Nov. 29, linking Guizhou with Japan's Osaka, said the company.

The round-trip flights between Guiyang and Osaka will operate three times each week, on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. It will be the only direct flight from Guizhou to Osaka.
