Geography of Fujian FTZ

Fujian Pilot Free Trade Zone was launched into operation on April 21, 2015. With a total covering area of 118.04 sq km, it comprises the 31.26 sq km of Fuzhou Area, the 43.78 sq km of Xiamen Area and the 43sq km of Pingtan Area.

Profile of Fujian FTZ

Under the strategic requirement to provide national and international investment services based on cross-strait resources, Fujian Pilot Free Trade Zone has tried to develop itself into the test field of reform and innovation, the model zone for deepening of cross-strait economic cooperation and the core zone of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road since it was launched into operation. It has adhered to quality development requirements and advanced international rules, relied on policy innovation, resorted to risk prevention and control as the bottom-line, taken bold initiatives and made significant achievements in business policy reform, investment management policy reform, trade regulation mode innovation, financial opening innovation, utilization of coastal and Taiwan-related advantages and ex ante and ex post regulations.
