BEIJING, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang on Thursday met with Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, who is in Beijing for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said China-Gabon friendship has grown stronger over the 50 years of their diplomatic relations.

China is ready to work with Gabon to continue their traditional friendship, implement the outcomes of the summit and deepen practical cooperation to bring more benefits to the two peoples, he said.

Nguema said Gabon will work with China to enhance mutual benefit and win-win results, and constantly consolidate and develop the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.
