Greater trade with China to help Filipinos enjoy better life: Philippine official

Greater trade and investment engagements between the Philippines and China will help in the Duterte government’s efforts to create the much-needed opportunities for Filipinos to attain a better life, Philippine Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said in a statement released on Monday.

Lopez made the remarks at a Philippines-China Economic Forum.

According to Lopez, China is the Philippines’ largest trading partner, the third largest export market, and top import supplier.
