MIIT approves Guizhou to build Guiyang Guian Internet Data Channel
According to source from the Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou Province (GZBDDA) on August 22, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has recently approved Guizhou to build Guiyang Guian Internet Data Channel.
The Internet Data Channel is a direct dedicated link leading industrial parks to the administration of international communication accesses. With parks as access units and enterprises as service targets, with the goal of improving the capacity for international communication service, it can effectively reduce route hops.
According to a head of GZBDDA, gaining approval to build the Internet Data Channel is Guizhou's another major outcome in digital facility construction. It will not only build a direct dedicated link leading relevant industrial parks in Guiyang and Guian to the administration of international communication accesses, reduce data traffic circling and congestion, and improve the performance and service quality of Guizhou's international communication network, but also be of great significance to promoting the development of cloud computing, big data, e-commerce, high-end manufacturing, service trade, medicare and other industries in Guiyang and Guian, meeting enterprises' actual development needs, promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, improving the local level of informatization and opening to and cooperation with the outside world, and supporting the construction of "Belt and Road" node cities.
At the next stage, relevant entities and enterprises will, according to the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, make all-out efforts to perform their tasks, strictly implement the requirements of official replies, speed up channel building, ensure that the channel is completed within the stipulated time limit and go into operation as early as possible to play a positive role in promoting the high-quality development of Guizhou's economy.
