BISHKEK, July 22 (Xinhua) -- The second exhibition-fair of Silk Road countries, aimed at further promoting trade and economic cooperation, kicked off Thursday in Kyrgyzstan's capital.
The four-day exhibition-fair of Silk Road countries will serve as a good platform for the exchange and cooperation on trade and technologies of the countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt, said the co-organizer of the exhibition.
Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to helping implement the projects to restore the Great Silk Road, said Muhammetkaly Abulgaziev, first vice prime minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition on Thursday.

Abulgaziev also highlighted the joint projects of strategic importance for the country, which have been implemented within the framework of the Silk Road Economic Belt initiated by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Vice-Governor of China's Shaanxi Province Wang Lixia briefed the participants of the event on the representing province.
"Shaanxi Province pays constant attention to cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the trade, economic and investment spheres," she said.
Wang also said she is confident that the exhibition will boost mutual understanding and friendly cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan.
The exhibition is one of the concrete measures to implement the One Belt and One Road Initiative and a good platform for Chinese producers to learn about the trade and economic conditions of Kyrgyzstan, said Sun He, commercial counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
There are more than 80 stands in the exhibition hall, which is over 3,000 square meters. Products exhibited include consumer goods, household appliances, textile accessories, shoes and many others.
