China-backed world's highest hotel starts construction

Constructed by China Railway 18th Bureau Group co., Ltd., the world's highest hotel Dubai Ciel Tower project started its construction recently, reported people.cn on Thursday.

Reaching a remarkable height of 368.6 metres, Ciel Tower in Dubai Marina sets a new global benchmark, with a total construction area of 101,600 square meters. It will be the world's highest hotel building upon completion.

The hotel construction includes 1,100 rooms, a 320-meter high-altitude open-air swimming pool, a 360-meter sky restaurant, and a high-rise sky garden.

The construction of Ciel Tower project will effectively promote local employment, and boost economic growth, thus injecting new momentum into the UAE's economic development.
