China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has made over 1,000 documentaries available online as part of an event promoting intangible cultural heritage (ICH).

The event is part of a series of activities scheduled for the upcoming Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, which falls on June 13 this year.

In addition to documentaries such as "Handcraft of China" highlighting traditional craftsmanship of chinaware, the event will feature a video zone showcasing ICH in everyday life, covering various aspects including food, music and sports, according to the ministry's website.

Viewers can also shoot and upload their own short videos related to ICH or interact with ICH masters online.

Available on eight major Chinese internet platforms including Tencent Video, iQiyi and Youku, the event will last until Sunday.
