China stands ready to expand cooperation with Cuba: Chinese FM

China stands ready to work with Cuba to deepen political mutual trust, expand cooperation in breadth and depth, and promote China-Cuba traditional friendship to produce new outcomes, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Monday.
Wang made the remarks when attending the reception hosted by the Cuban Embassy to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Cuba.
Noting China and Cuba have become good brothers, good comrades and good friends since the establishment of diplomatic ties 60 years ago, Wang said standing at a new historical starting point, China is ready to work with Cuba to implement the important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries, deepen political mutual trust, expand cooperation in breadth and depth, and promote China-Cuba traditional friendship to produce new outcomes.
Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodriguez and Cuban ambassador to China Carlos Miguel Pereira delivered speeches respectively.
The Cuban side expressed its firm adherence to the one-China policy and its willingness to work with China to continuously expand pragmatic cooperation in all fields, hold high the banner of opposing hegemonism, unilateralism and protectionism, cooperate closely on international affairs and push Cuba-China relations to a new level.
