NW. China's Gansu posts increasing foreign trade in 2020

The foreign trade of northwest China's Gansu Province totaled 37.28 billion yuan last year, local customs said recently.

In December 2020, foreign trade value of the province was 3.88 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.1 percent and a month-on-month growth of 23.5 percent.

Kazakhstan, Mongolia, the European Union and ASEAN were top four trading partners of Gansu Province last year. In 2020, the trade volume of Gansu with countries along the Belt and Road routes was 16.52 billion yuan, accounting for 44.3 percent of the province's total.

In 2020, the import and export value of Lanzhou New Area Bonded Zone was 3.17 billion yuan, up 48.9 percent year on year. 

In 2020, the processing trade value in Gansu was 10.32 billion yuan, an increase of 2.1 percent,  accounting for 27.7 percent of the province's total foreign trade value, which further intensified the province's function in industrial transfer between eastern and western regions.
