China's strong recovery has positive spillover effects on the rest of the world, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva has told Xinhua.

China's strong recovery has positive spillover effects on the rest of the world, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva has told Xinhua.

"China is recovering strongly," said Georgieva, adding that "we have upgraded from 8.1 to 8.4 (percent) in our forecast for China."

She stated that this recovery has "positive spillover effect for the rest of the world through the channels of trade and on the basis of demand from China for raw materials, for consumer and manufacturing goods."
