South China’s Hainan Province teams up with CNPC, CNOOC in free trade port construction

South China's Hainan Province signed strategic cooperation agreements with the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) respectively on Sunday to jointly promote construction of the free trade port.

According to the agreements, the signatories will carry out a comprehensive and long-term strategic cooperation in the fields of marine economy, clean energy, finance and trade, as well as talent services. A cooperative mechanism featuring in coordination and innovation will be established to ensure win-win results.

Feng Fei, governor of Hainan Province, noted that CNPC and CNOOC have provided great support for Hainan for a long time and played important roles in the construction of the free trade port. Hainan will strive to provide high-quality services for the development of enterprises, further deepen cooperation, and promote the implementation of specific projects.

Chairman of the CNPC Dai Houliang and chaiman of the CNOOC Wang Dongjin said that they will seize the development opportunities of the Hainan free trade port, promote the implementation of major projects, and jointly contribute to the construction of the free trade port.
