China's Hebei reports trade growth with B&R countries in April

Foreign trade volume of north China's Hebei Province with Belt and Road (B&R) countries amounted to 12.85 billion yuan in April of the year, up 34.3 percent year on year, according to the local customs.
Of its total, the province's exports to the B&R countries stood at 9.66 billion yuan, up 22.4 percent year on year, while its imports from those countries soared 90.5 percent year on year to 3.19 billion yuan in April.
In April alone, the import and export volume between Hebei Province and its 11 trading partners in Southeast Asia amounted to 5.22 billion yuan, up 23.6 percent year on year, while the trade volume with 16 countries in West Asia and North Africa increased by 14.8 percent year on year to 2.74 billion yuan.
During the same period, the import and export volume of foreign-invested enterprises in Hebei hiked 79.8 percent year on year to 1.52 billion yuan.
The foreign trade volume of Hebei's state-owned enterprises picked up 37.4 percent year on year to 2.05 billion yuan in April, while the province's private businesses registered a total of 9.28 billion yuan in foreign trade, up 28.4 percent from a year ago.
In April, the import and export volume of Hebie's general trade and processing trade registered growths of 39 percent and 41.1 percent year on year, amounting to 11.55 billion yuan and 340 million yuan, respectively.
