In early 2020, the two officers led a special solidarity mission to Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei Province, and spent 53 days under lockdown in the province. They provided support and reassurance to members of the Pakistani community, particularly students, during the lockdown.

The two maintained close contact with local Chinese authorities for provision of needed relief to Pakistanis living in Wuhan and Hubei province, according to the Embassy.

Their dedication and selfless devotion not only won the admiration of the Pakistani community but also the respect of Chinese authorities, which made a valuable contribution to deepening the Pakistan and China all-weather strategic partnership, said the Embassy.
