China's Zhuzhou adds new route for China-Europe freight train service
A direct route of China-Europe freight train service, linking Zhuzhou City in central China's Hunan Province with Altynkol in Kazakhstan, has been launched recently.
It is reported that the maiden trip of the freight train with 50 carriages was loaded with 1,300 metric tons (tonnes) of goods including machine spare parts, electronic products and daily necessities, worth more than 5 million U.S. dollars. It will travel 6,654 kilometers to arrive in Tashkent, capital city of Uzbekistan, after passing through Altynkol in Kazakhstan.
The new route will help Hunan-based export enterprises improve supply chains and enhance the logisticis efficiency.
It is noted that after the launch of the new route, the China-Europe freight trains departing from Zhuzhou have covered the routes to cities in European countries, Russia and countries in Central Asia.
