"Chinese Innovation" photo exhibition opens in Uruguay to celebrate festival, bilateral ties

Uruguayan Vice President Beatriz Argimon underscored China's scientific and technological achievements throughout history and appreciated its willingness to share its knowledge and technologies with the world to improve people's well-being.

Uruguay inaugurated here on Tuesday a photo exhibition, titled "Chinese Innovation", to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival and its friendship with China.

The exhibition, held at the Government House Museum, features various highlights of Chinese innovation.

Uruguayan Vice President Beatriz Argimon underscored China's scientific and technological achievements throughout history and appreciated its willingness to share its knowledge and technologies with the world to improve people's well-being.

Chinese Ambassador to Uruguay Wang Gang said the exhibition marks the 33 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the upcoming anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and China's Mid-Autumn Festival.

China is Uruguay's biggest trading partner and largest overseas market and relations between the two countries are at a historical peak, said Wang.
