During the period, a total of 35,500 standard containers were transported with trade value of 12.116 billion yuan, accounting for 19.1 percent of the total import and export value of Hubei province to the Europe Union during the same period and showing a 55.3 percent year-on-year growth in proportion.
Starting from this year, Wuhan has launched Wuhan-Qinzhou-Southeast Asia rail-sea combined transportation, so as to solve the problems of unstable shipping schedule. Besides, the Japan-Wuhan-Europe/Mongolia international sea-rail transit channel has created an example of international supply chain integrated logistics services, which helps boost local enterprises such as Dongfeng Motor to go global efficiently.
Up to now, Wuhan has launched 29 cross-border transport routes of China-Europe Freight trains, covering over 70 cities in more than 30 countries on the Eurasian continent, forming an international multimodal transport service network connecting Europe, Central Asia, Japan, Republic of Korea and ASEAN countries.
