The WEY brand of Great Wall Motor Company Limited (Great Wall Motor, 601633.SH), an auto maker based in Baoding City of north China's Hebei Province, has recently launched the Mocha DHT-PHEV new energy vehicle (NEV) model targeting the high-end NEV market, reported Shanghai Securities News Tuesday.

The Mocha DHT-PHEV NEV model is powered by the nickel-cobalt-manganate lithium battery independently developed by SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a firm developed from the Battery Unit of Great Wall Motors, and can achieve up to 204 kilometers of WLTC (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Cycle) ultra-long pure electric driving mileage, introduced Li Ruifeng, CEO of the WEY brand.

With the launch of the new NEV model, the WEY brand will start the process of globalization, with the German market as the first stop, and in the first half of 2022, the Mocha series under the WEY brand will officially enter the German market in the name of Coffee 01, competing with native NEV brands in Germany, according to a source from Great Wall Motor.

The first overseas experience center of the WEY brand will also be built in Berlin, Germany, noted the source.
