The first imported recreational facility enjoying zero-tariff treatment of south China's Hainan Province arrived in the resort city of Sanya on Monday, reported Hainan Daily.

The facility with a value of 6.307 million yuan was imported as self-use production equipment for the Hainan free trade port from the Italy-based amusement rides manufacturer Antonio Zamperla S.P.A and is expected to be operational in June.

Self-use production equipment required for sports and tourism sectors, such as carousels, swings and other amusement facilities, were added into the list of commodities that can enjoy zero-tariff treatment, according to a notice on adjusting the zero-tariff policy for the Hainan free trade port's self-use production equipment jointly issued by the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Taxation Administration on February 14 to boost construction of the Hainan free trade port.

Benefited from the adjusted policy, Shanlv (Sanya) tourism investment Co., Ltd., which is the importer of the facility, is able to see reduced project costs, said Wu Zhixue, deputy general manager of the company.
