Ugandan media praises CCCC's projects in Uganda for improving the livelihood of local people
On April 14, 2021, the Ugandan media New Vision published a special-page report entitled "CSR Initiatives are a Testament to CCCC's Commitment to a Win-win Relationship", highly praising CCCC's positive contribution in fulfilling its social responsibilities, promoting local infrastructure construction, improving local people's living conditions and promoting local economic development from five aspects of employment, environment, education, health and safety, and public welfare sports.

The article focuses on the implementation of Kampala-Entebbe Expressway, Entebbe International Airport upgrading and expansion project and other projects, reflecting that while seeking development, CCCC has taken up social responsibilities and made active efforts in promoting local employment, ecological protection, education, health and safety, and public welfare sports, proving the benefits of long-term cooperation between China and Uganda for Uganda's development.
It is reported that the implementation of many projects, such as the upgrading and expansion project of Entebbe International Airport, has created thousands of jobs for Ugandans, and many local enterprises have also benefited from these projects. According to the person in charge, the implementation of these projects has helped many Ugandan employees grow into technical backbones and operators, trained a large number of local technical and management talents, and built up important strength for promoting infrastructure construction in Uganda.

The projects have improved the local transportation environment, and won the respect of local people by paying great attention to maintaining the quality of ecological environment while being built. According to the report, CCCC not only implemented the projects on time, but also took into account the environmental impact to minimize the damage to the local ecosystem. For example, the Nambigirwa Bridge on the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway has 480 piles supported by 240 columns, with a depth of 56 meters and a service life of 100 years, which is to preserve the environmental ecosystem of the swamp.

During the construction of the projects, CCCC also established communication mechanisms and channels with local governments, communities and civil organizations, and actively participated in various social welfare undertakings. It held several scholarship activities for children consecutively, and donated school supplies and daily necessities to local schools to promote the development of local education; built water wells for local residents to solve the problem of difficult access to water; actively funded public welfare sports activities and helped the Uganda Marathon. CCCC has made continuous efforts for the physical and mental health of the Ugandan people. It continues to fulfill the original intention and mission of corporate social responsibility, and is committed to enabling the Ugandan people to live a better life.
