Shanghai has whitelisted some companies including foreign firms to support their resumption of work and minimize the virus' impact on the supply chain.

SHANGHAI, May 11(Xinhua) -- Shanghai has whitelisted some companies including foreign firms to support their resumption of work and minimize the virus' impact on the supply chain.

Daikin Air-conditioning (Shanghai) from Japan is among the second batch on the whitelist to resume operation. Production has fully restarted with 1,000 workers back to their positions.

The company is currently under closed-loop management. Living and working areas are disinfected regularly.

German skincare company Beiersdorf's factory in Shanghai is also on the whitelist and manufacturing its brand Nivea skincare products.

Employees are required to take antigen tests every day, and the factory and vehicles are disinfected thoroughly.
