The event was hosted by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and organized by NWUPL.

More than 150 teachers and students from NWUPL and educational institutions in Kazakhstan and Thailand gathered online to participate in the launch ceremony.

Zhang Ronggang, vice president of NWUPL, said that the university has expanded cooperation with higher education institutions in Kazakhstan and Thailand to carry out talent training, scientific research and cultural exchanges.

It is hoped that through the "Chinese Bridge" program, China's cultural exchanges with Kazakhstan and Thailand will be further strengthened, Zhang added.

Talgat Mamyruly, principal of International Kazakh-Chinese College, said the school has established a strong partnership with NWUPL since 2017.

He expressed hope that students would learn a lot while appreciating Chinese traditional culture and modern development, and that the school would further deepen cooperation in personnel training and discipline development with NWUPL.

The program is a short-term Chinese language and culture program for students from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. It combines livestreaming with recorded broadcasts, including three major course modules: language, Chinese traditional culture, contemporary China and Xi'an, within a two-week period.
