NK/JC Hydropower Project in Argentina

The NK/JC Hydropower Project in Argentina has a total installed capacity of 1,310 MW, a contractual amount of 5.56 billion U.S. dollars (about 33.7 billion yuan) and a construction period of 97.3 months. Its construction kicked off on February 15, 2015 and the loan agreement was signed on July 18, 2014. The project is now progressing smoothly. In the peak stage of construction, it creates over 5,000 jobs directly and 15,000 jobs indirectly. After completion, it will generate 4,950 GWh per annum that meets the electricity use of 1.5 million families in Argentina and can be exported to neighboring countries, saving more than 1 billion U.S. dollars of oil and gas import expenses.
