A number of Western scholars published articles urging Western officials, scholars, businesspeople and common people to learn about Chinese history, philosophy, and take the opportunity of the Belt and Road Initiative to gaincultural and material returns.

The newspaper Reference News summarizes these comments in a recent report as follows:

The Western scholars think that China is increasingly moving to the center of the world stage. It is especially important for the West to know about the Chinese people's way of thinking and spiritual world.

The traditional Chinese philosophy still plays an important role in China to this day. Chinese leaders have praised the Confucius several times, which offers a clue for Westerners in how to learn about China by understanding Confucius's position in China's political thoughts. Thisis important to understand China' modern and historical China.

China's rise has compelledUS pundits to learn moreabout China's strategic thoughts. The decision makers in Washington had better read the Art of War by Sun Ziin order tomake better China policies.

Chinese wisdom is not only worthy studying, but will also put the West in a better position to strive for cultural and material returns in the projects related to the Belt and Road Initiative, which is the most ambitious construction plans initiated by China.

The Initiative will expand and consolidate China's economic and political influence on the Eurasian continent.

It is suggested that the US colleges should include Chinese philosophy in the teachings of their philosophy department.
