Tmall Global, an online marketplace of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, will showcase products from over 500 foreign brands on the second China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), which is about to kick off in Haikou, the capital of south China's Hainan Province, reported Shanghai Securities News on Wednesday.

The exhibition area of Tmall Global will cover a total area of 500 square meters including six sections representing the current overseas shopping trends of various sectors ranging from skincare and healthcare to baby products and camping.

A global new product display area will also be set up. Tmall Global will join hands with foreign brands to promote new-releases and limited edition products at the expo, covering multiple categories including beauty, health care, and others.

The CICPE is an important showcase of the Hainan Free Trade Port, helping foreign brands better understand the Chinese market, according to a representative from Alibaba Group, noting that foreign brands will be looking at more opportunities in China through the Tmall Global platform, especially when supported by Hainan Free Trade Port's unique advantages including preferential policies, mature international logistics network and gradually improving infrastructure.
