2nd South Korea (Shandong) Import Commodity Fair kicks off in E China's Weihai City

The Second South Korea (Shandong) Import Commodity Fair (KSICF),  officially opened in Weihai city of east China's Shandong province on Friday, aiming to build a platform for Sino-South Korean economic cooperation.

The 3-day event will last until August 7. It has an exhibition area of 35,000 square meters and more than 1,300 exhibition booths for exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions around the world. Up to now, the number of registered buyers has exceeded 2,000.

In addition to a series of ceremonies and conferences including China-S.Korea (Weihai) Cross-border E-commerce Conference and etc., the event also features 20 activities, such as online celebrity live-streaming and China-South Korea carnivals.

It is learned that three exhibition halls showcasing South Korean brands and trends, China-South Korea cooperation achievements, and local specialties were inaugurated for the first time, covering an area of 330,000 square meters. It is the first exhibition complex in Weihai that integrates exhibitions, conferences, hotels, cultural and creative industries, etc.

The event has set up several themed exhibition areas highlighting themes such as RCEP Regions, Belt and Road Initiative & Shanghai Cooperation Organization, China-South Korea innovation incubation and etc.

Merchants from Japan, Russia, Belarus, Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Africa including some famous fast-moving consumer good brands and leading supermarket participated in the fair. 

Moreover, this year's event holds multiple experiential activities like food tasting, golfing, and traditional clothing culture show to have visitors better enjoy the event.
