China-Europe freight trains via the land port of Erenhot in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region have carried more than 160 billion yuan of foreign trade cargos since the service was launched in 2013, local customs said.

In recent years, the import and export goods such as daily necessities, household appliances and auto parts have been loaded on the China-Europe freight trains via the port to enter the European and Asian markets, said Nie Weidong, director of Erenhot Customs railway supervision.

The port now handles more than 10,000 China-Europe freight trains and serves 61 China-Europe freight train routes, which reach more than 60 destinations across 10 countries including Germany, Poland and Mongolia, local customs said.
