On February 15 in Chile, CRCC and the original concessionaire of the section of highway completed the handover and officially started operation of the road.
The project is the second road concession project of Chinese enterprises in Chile and the southern extension of the Talca-Chillán section of the first road concession project, marking Chinese enterprises have opened a new chapter in the field of investment and construction in Chile.
Chile's Route 5 is the main artery of Chile's national economy. With a total length of 166 kilometers, the highway is extending from Chillán to Collipulli.
Besides, this section concession project includes 166 kilometers of existing roads upgrades and 6.6 kilometers of new branch lines, with a total mileage of 172.6 kilometers.

It has launched non-inductive toll collection system, which shortened the passage time of the this section by about 30 minutes, greatly alleviated the traffic pressure of the section, and won the recognition of the local people.
