Volkswagen launches new pure electric flagship on eve of Auto Shanghai 2023

German automobile giant Volkswagen AG launched its pure electric flagship ID.7 at the brand event ID. Night on Monday, the eve of the 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2023), reported Shanghai Securities News.
During the exhibition, Volkswagen will also display the new Tuyue SUV revamped and its pure electric brand family including the ID.3, ID.4 CROZZ, ID.4 X, ID.6 CROZZ and ID.6 X.
The appearance at the exhibition is an important event to practise Volkswagen's "in China, for China" strategy, which is expected to respond quickly to trends in the Chinese market in early stage of product development and significantly accelerate the pace of local innovation.
Volkswagen will not only make comprehensive efforts in the field of electric vehicle, but also greatly intensify its local strength in software and R&D related to digital and autonomous driving.
It is learnt that CARIAD, the Volkswagen's new software company, will increase the number of software experts to 1,200 in its China subsidiary, aiming to accelerate the digital development in China.
