ISTANBUL, April 19 (Xinhua) -- China's gross domestic product grew 4.5 percent year on year in the first quarter, official data showed on Tuesday.

Murat Tufan, an analyst with Turkish broadcaster Ekoturk, says that the growth rate in the first quarter is crucial, believing that the Chinese economy will continue to grow and contribute to the global economy.
