30-odd Chinese AI enterprises included in Hurun global unicorn list

The Hurun Research Institute on April 18 released the Global Unicorn Index 2023 list and more than 30 Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) enterprises are included in it, reported China Securities Journal Thursday.
The Global Unicorn Index 2023 has included the non-publicly-listed companies globally that were founded after 2000 and are each worth more than 1 billion U.S. dollars.
According to the list, there are now 1,361 unicorn companies around the globe, with a combined value of 4.3 trillion U.S. dollars and distributing in 271 cities in 48 countries, and 316 of them are in China, ranking the second in the world.
ByteDance, SpaceX and Ant Group are the top three unicorn companies in terms of valuation, and the number of unicorn companies in the sectors of financial technology, software services, e-commerce and AI registered 171, 136, 120 and 105, respectively, reveals the list.
The list shows that the AI sector sees 105 unicorn companies, becoming one of the fastest-growing sectors.
