NAIROBI, April 23 (Xinhua) -- The Mathare Valley, located in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, is the second-largest urban slum in the country.
A Chinese volunteer has been pushing for better education for children in the area through programs of Dream Building Service Association (DBSA), a non-governmental organization.
Ahead of the World Book Day which falls on Sunday, Liu Yimenghan, a DBSA co-founder, together with his colleagues, held a reading event at a local school set up by the organization.
Dream Building Service Association, founded in 2014, has been promoting charity work in Mathare area in various ways.
