Xi'an-London passenger flights resume

XI'AN, April 24 (Xinhua) -- A direct passenger flight route linking northwest China's Xi'an City and London resumed on Sunday, according to the Xi'an Xianyang International Airport.

The flight, with an average one-way flight time of 12 hours, is operated by Tianjin Airlines three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The departure flight takes off at 3:45 p.m. from Xi'an and arrives in London at 8 p.m. local time, while the return flight takes off at 10 p.m. local time from London and arrives in Xi'an at 3:25 p.m. the next day, according to the airlines.

The resumption of this flight service is expected to open up the air passage connecting the northwest region of China with Eurasia.
