Foreign-invested projects worth USD 17.78 bln signed at Zhejiang investment promotion event

A total of 62 foreign-invested projects with an investment of 17.78 billion U.S. dollars were signed during the 24th China Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium, which kicked off on Tuesday in east China's Ningbo in the Zhejiang Province.
The projects, varying from cutting-edge industries including high-end equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceutical and digital economy, were invested by investors from the United States, Germany, France, Belgium, Singapore, etc. Among them, 35 projects involve deals of more than 100 million U.S. dollars. Notably, six of the projects signed are for investments exceeding 1 billion U.S. dollars, according to the organizers.
The symposium was organized by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, attracting delegates from over 150 Fortune 500 companies, leading multinationals, global investment promotion agencies, and business associations from about 30 countries and regions.
China's Zhejiang Province has adopted a slew of measures concerning investment promotion, policy, innovation and service since this year. In the first quarter of this year, foreign direct investment (FDI) into the province, in actual use, expanded 23.2 percent year on year to 7.29 billion U.S. dollars.
