2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services planned to be held in early September

BEIJING, May 24 (Xinhua) -- The 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is planned to be held at the China National Convention Center, the National Indoor Stadium and the Shougang Park from September 2 to 6, reported Beijing Daily Wednesday.

Since 2012, the CIFTIS has attracted more than 600,000 exhibitors from 196 countries and regions and more than 600 overseas business associations and institutions to participate in.

Focusing on opening-up, cooperation, innovation and wisdom, the 2023 CIFTIS will be held online and offline with comprehensive and thematic events, including the global service trade summit, exhibitions, forums, promotion and negotiation, outcome release, and supporting activities.

With a total scale of 155,000 square meters for comprehensive and special exhibitions, this year's CIFTIS will showcase the latest technologies, products, achievements and applications in the service sector topromote global service cooperation and world economic development.

It is learned that the 2023 CIFTIS will highlight international engagement and offline activities, inviting foreign dignitaries and ministerial officials, heads of international organizations and overseas leading enterprises to participate in, and expanding the scale of offline activities such as the global services trade summit and forums by jointly holding them with influential international organizations.

The 2023 CIFTIS will also highlight smart services and innovation achievements by displaying new technologies and applications in artificial intelligence, metaverse, industrial integration, green development and environmental protection, and other sectors, releasing a batch of new technologies, new reports and new cases, and promoting the new experience achieved in building the national comprehensive demonstration zone for expanding opening-up in the service sector in Beijing and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

It will focus on the hot trends in the development of the global service industry to hold forums and activities, so as to build wind vanes for the development of the service sector. So far, 78 organizations, including the World Meteorological Organization and the World Intellectual Property Organization, have applied to host 115 events during the 2023 CIFTIS.
