China EximBank to issue loans for infrastructure project in Bangladesh
The Export-Import Bank of China (China EximBank) recently signed a loan agreement with the Ministry of Finance of Bangladesh to support its Rajshahi surface water treatment plant project, reported China Securities Journal on Saturday.
The project, as the third water treatment plant project financed by China EximBank in Bangladesh, is expected to benefit about 1 million local residents, improve their life quality and protect the ecological environment.
Up to now, China EximBank has provided financing support for a number of large-scale infrastructure projects in Bangladesh in the fields of transportation, energy, municipal administration and electricity, making positive contributions to the economic and social development of Bangladesh, said an official of the bank.
