A total of 3,265 high-quality breeding cattle from Australia arrived at the Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, after more than two weeks of shipment, according to the Guangzhou Port Authority on Wednesday.

It is noted that the breeding cattle, weighing about 1044 tons and worth over 44 million yuan, mainly consist of high-quality Angus and Simmental cattle from Australia, which are known for their delicate meat and high milk production.

After completing the quarantine inspection, the cattle will be sent to animal husbandry farms in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for breeding purposes.

To ensure the safe and efficient customs clearance of the breeding cattle, the local port authority, border inspection station, and terminal company have jointly formulated a transportation plan for the breeding cattle to expedite their clearance.
