The past five year witnesses the development of Big Data Expo, starting from scratch and developing from excellence to perfection... steadily increasing of forums. In 2015, the first session of Expo was held in Guiyang. By virtue of the “global first expo and summit around big data”, it has amazed the world with its inexperienced debut.

With the previous year’s experience, the Big Data Expo in 2016 was upgraded for one level – the theme forums were increased from more than 20 to 68, and the number of forums was increased significantly. The year of 2018 witnessed the fourth year of the Expo and the Expo became “increasingly mature”. Eight high-end dialogues and 65 professional forum sessions attracted 53,000 guests. The number of participating countries increased to 29 with 23 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, both creating new high.

In 2015, “Internet +” has stirred the fervor in various fields. The Big Data Expo decided the “Data Security and Development in Internet + Era” as the annual theme, which ushered in the coming-of-age “Internet+” forum, big data trading summit forum, the universal urban free wireless networks and industrial innovation & development forums under block data.

In 2016, the theme was “Big Data Unlocks the Smart Era”. AI was the hottest topic in the big data industry this year. Focusing on “intelligent, AI”, corresponding forums such as the integration of cloud computing and big data, the development of smart tourism in the period of big data, and the construction of green data center were held successively.

In 2017, the Expo took “Digital Economy Drives New Growth” as the annual theme. Digital China, Digital Economy, have become the hot words of Big Data Expo as well as the hot words of the industry.
