On May 29, Big Data Expo 2018 was wrapped up. With the annual theme "Big Data Makes a Smarter World", Big Data Expo 2018 included "two concurrent conferences, one exhibition, one contest and other activities".

On the morning of May 29, Big Data Expo 2018 Press Conference took place at the Guiyang International Eco-Conference Center

The four-day event included 8 high-level dialogues, 65 professional forums, 40 achievement release conferences, 81 investment promotion conferences, 278 business visits and other activities. A total of 199 investment promotion projects had signed with a total contract amount of 35.28 billion yuan. The event attracted over 120,000 visitors, as well as 388 domestic and foreign enterprises and institutions with a total exhibition area of 60,000 square meters.

China International Big Data Fusion Innovation & AI Global Competition, "Journey of Big Data Expo", "Big Data Valley Night" and other thematic activities took place concurrently. At the event, it has released 51 black technologies, 100 big data application scenarios, ten big data application cases and other innovation achievements.

The attendees agreed that Big Data Expo 2018 displayed the charm of data, the appealing of intelligence and the way of integration, significantly improved in internationalization, specialization, industrialization and marketization, grew in influence and brand popularity, and had become an indicator of global big data development and an authoritative international platform in the industry.

2018 China E-Commerce Innovation and Development Summit was held concurrently, with the theme "New E-Commerce Drives New Integration, New Era Boosts New Development". The summit included CEO Salon, Main Forum, 8 sub-forums and Annual Award Ceremony, released China E-Commerce Development Index Report 2017, presented 10 awards including Annual Intelligent Business Technology Model, Annual Transformational Enterprise and Annual New Business Leader, reached the Guiyang Consensus and became an annual e-commerce event.

Big Data Expo 2018 was the first edition of Big Data Expo in the new era. General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message and set clear requirements for implementing the national big data strategy, which fully showed the Party Central Committee's great attention to Big Data Export and concern over Guizhou. At the height of benefiting people of all countries, promoting the healthy development of the big data industry and building a community of shared future for mankind, General Secretary Xi's important instruction grasped the impact of new-generation information technology on economic and social development, national administration, social governance and people's life of different countries, expounded China's major decision to comprehensively implement the national big data strategy, build an internet power, digital China and smart society and promote high-quality economic development, called on all countries to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, and deepen communication and cooperation, to jointly promote the innovative development of the big data industry and create a smart life, indicated direction and provided guidance for big data development.

Big Data Expo 2018 focused on new concepts, ideas, technologies, products, models and applications, planned and innovatively unveiled the characteristic brand of "Big Data Expo Release", delivered over 40 achievement release activities, collected over 500 leading technology achievements from across the world, strictly selected and intensively released 51 leading big data technology achievements including 11 black technologies, 10 new technologies, 20 new products and 10 new business models, gaining unanimous praise from experts, scholars and visitors.

Big Data Expo 2018 released Guizhou's ten recommended cases of big data integrated innovation for the first time to showcase the outcomes of big data integrated innovation. Over 30 renowned domestic and foreign enterprises released new products and technologies. Esgyn's cold-hot data separation heterogeneous media storage architecture and the sovereign blockchain underlying technology platform of the Chinese Academy of Sciences were unveiled for the first time. "Big Data Expo Release" became the most authoritative and influential global brand.

Big Data Expo 2018 was highlighted by the impressive speeches delivered by the leaders of BAT (Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent) at different high-level dialogues.
