Data Creates More Value, Innovation Brings A Better Future

As the world's first national big data exhibition, Big Data Expo has been held successfully four times since its inauguration in 2015, thus developing into an indicator of global big data development, as well as an international professional platform.

On February 25, Big Data Expo 2019 Press Conference took place in Beijing, announcing that Big Data Expo 2019 with the theme "Innovative Development, Digital Future" would take place in Guiyang from May 26 to 29. Compared to the previous events, Big Data Expo 2019 will highlight six aspects: theme, international engagement, industry leadership, exhibition-conference integration, achievement release and integrated display, and draw worldwide attention. Big Data Expo will develop into an international event filled with cooperation opportunities and leading industrial development, as well as a world-class platform discussing development plans and sharing the latest achievements

Big Data Expo 2019 will continue to meet the core requirements of "data creating value", highlight the concept of "global vision, national level, industrial perspective and business standing", innovatively practice the mode of "exhibition-conference", "exhibition-sales" and "exhibition-competition" integration, advance the crossover integration of the exhibition with other sectors, and fully present new exhibition ecology by showcasing new technologies, products and applications in segments of big data. With a total area of 74.56 square kilometers and a total length of some 20 kilometers, "Big Data Expo Boulevard" will make its debut, to showcase the world's latest big data research findings and future digital forms, and focus on the deep integration of internet, big data, AI and the real economy.

"One conference" is the summit during Big Data Expo 2019. The summit will hold 6 high-level dialogues and over 25 professional forums, with the participation of world top big data enterprises and big data leaders who will probe into technical difficulties, needs, pain spots and solutions.

"One exhibition" is the exhibition part of the expo. The exhibition will include three sectors with two pavilions set up for each sector, to showcase new technologies, products, solutions and applications for the deep integration of big data with the digital economy, public services, intelligent manufacturing, industrial upgrading, ecological management, smart life and other fields.

"One release conference" is "Big Data Expo Release". The conference will release the Annual Report of Big Data Development in China, outstanding big data products and application solutions cases, Gartner Blue Book, Digital Rights Law 1.0, China Local Government Data Opening Index and other achievements. International and domestic exhibitors will release their sophisticated technologies and products to the world for the first time.

"Contests" include 2019 China International Big Data Fusion Innovation & AI Global Competition, 2019 Guiyang Big Data and Network Security Elite Contest, Moving Hackathon 2019 Self-Driving Global Challenge, 2019 China Industrial App Innovation Application Contest, as well as other international and domestic contests in the first half of this year. All finals will take place during Big Data Expo 2019.

"Other activities" are characteristic activities during Big Data Expo 2019, including guest country of honor activities, embassy &consulate activities, big data + poverty alleviation activities, China's e-commerce innovation and development activities, "A Review of Big Data Development over the Five Years", "Big Data Valley Night", visiting and experience, etc.

Guided by the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's congratulatory message at Big Data Expo 2018, with the annual theme "Innovative Development, Digital Future", Big Data Expo 2019 will continue to meet the internal requirements of "data creating value", focus on the development of digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, and constantly explore the construction of the big data industry chain, value chain and ecosystem.

Big Data Expo 2019 will highlight international engagement. Big Data Expo 2019 will attract guests from more fields, and greatly grow in internationality and professionalism. Nobel laureate in economics Paul Michael Romer and Turing Award winner Bailey Whitfield Diffie have accepted the invitation. According to initial estimate, a total of 100,000 people will participate in Big Data Expo 2019, including some 2,000 core and important guests, as well as more than 400 enterprises and institutions.

Particularly, the "Big Data Expo Leading Technology Achievement Award" set up by the Organizing Committee has been filed with the country as China's only social science & technology award in the big data field.

Big Data Expo 2019 will highlight integration. At Big Data Expo 2019, as the demonstration corridor and image window for Guizhou's big data development, "Big Data Expo Boulevard" will be unveiled at Big Data Expo 2019 for the first time to showcase new global big data achievements and the form of future digital cities. During Big Data Expo 2019, big data experience activities will be organized along the boulevard to offer the public new and cool big data and intelligence experiences.
