Guizhou Province Completed Investment of 6.08 Billion Yuan in Key Provincial Big Data Projects in H1

On July 23, the reporter learned from the Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou Province that in the first half of this year, Guizhou Province accelerated the coordination and promotion of key projects, leading to the key provincial big data projects with a trend of "overall stability and better signs of improvement."

In 2019, 61 key big data projects in Guizhou were coordinated at the provincial level, with a planned investment of 14.2 billion yuan. In the first half of the year, the actually completed investment was 6.08 billion yuan, of which 3.09 billion yuan was invested in Q1 and 2.99 billion yuan in Q2, representing combined 16.9 percentage points higher than the half-year investment as planned, achieving the goal of "completing more than half of the tasks in more than half of the year."

In terms of project types, 8 projects were closed, with the actual investment of 260 million yuan; there were 25 continuously constructed projects, and the actual investment was 1.75 billion yuan; there were 28 new projects, with the actual investment of 4.07 billion yuan. Seen from the investments in the municipal and prefecture levels, Guian New Area, Zunyi City and Guiyang ranked among the top 3. From the perspective of the industries of projects, digital infrastructure projects, digital governance projects, and big data industry park projects were among the top 3.

In key enterprises, there were 10 key digital infrastructure projects. The communication enterprises represented by Guizhou Mobile, Guizhou Telecom and Guizhou Unicom completed a cumulative total investment of 2.36 billion yuan, accounting for 38.8% of the provincial-level key project investments, thus giving full scope to the leading role of key enterprises. In the first half of the year, the key indicators of communication grew at a rapid pace. The length of optical cables across the province reached 1.024 million kilometers, up 10.6% year-on-year. The bandwidth out of the province reached 10,660Gbps, a YoY increase of 45.4%. There have now been a total of 161,000 3G/4G base stations, up 23.3% year-on-year.
