Freight trains between China's Shenyang and Europe increase quickly
Thanks to gradual resumption of work and business activities in China, the number of freight trains running on the cross-border railway line between China's Shenyang and European cities, as well as the volume of cargoes transported, has been increasing steadily.
As of last Friday, a total of 116 freight trains have been arranged this year from this northeastern city to cities in Europe, an increase of 65.7 percent year on year. They carried a total of 4,934 cars, up 56.4 percent year on year.
China-Europe freight train services have played a crucial role in the fight against the pandemic in Europe as massive quantities of medical supplies were sent by railway from China to European countries such as Russia, Belarus and Germany.
By far, freight train services from Shenyang, capital city of Liaoning Province, have reached five destinations in Europe, namely Malaszewicze, Warsaw, Hamburg, Duisburg and Enns.
