Group 20 (G20) Finance Minister and Central Bank Governors will meet on July 18 to discuss the global economic outlook and coordinate collective action for a robust and sustained global economic recovery, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

The virtual meeting will be chaired by Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed al-Jadaan and Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority Ahmed Alkholifey.

After the extraordinary G20 leaders' summit held in March, the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors have been committed to a globally coordinated response encompassing all necessary measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and lay the foundations for a swift recovery.

The G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors have held several meetings to attain consensus on a G20 Action Plan that was endorsed in April in response to COVID-19.

The Action Plan aims also to strengthen international financial assistance to countries in need, especially the poorest countries.
